The value of Tradition
One of my favorite quotes ever is from the book “The Awakening of Miss Prim”. (Let’s be honest, the entire book is a gem and a favorite of mine.) The book says, “Tradition is ageless child, it’s modernity that ages.” This is so true and well put! St. Paul says in 2 Thes. 2:14, “So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the traditions that you were taught by us, either by word of mouth or by our letter.” One might wonder, what is the significance of tradition? Why are we commanded by St. Paul to hold fast to it?We must cling to Tradition because it is the lived expression of Faith. In some sense, denying tradition is denying faith. Thus, since Church doctrine is unchanging, and faith therefore must be unchanging, thus, tradition is ageless and even more pertinent today. I hope to use my little blog to share with you my experiences in discovering the “lost” traditions of the Church and practicing them. I hope to inspire you in some small way to introduce more tradition to your daily life!

a blog for little souls
My aim is that this blog is a place of refuge for little souls. As the very littlest of souls myself, I must admit that most of the knowledge and wisdom here shared, is from the saints, and not me, and even the little bits and pieces of mine are really only my lived experience of their wisdom.

we are not spiritual orphans
We little souls are so fortunate, for we are not spiritual orphans! We have both a mother and a father to watch our ever step and come to our aid when we fall! For at the cross, Christ gave His own mother to us and He has also given us His own father St. Joseph. They are both very tender parents who watch over us quite lovingly. The only qualification to receiving their great loving care is to call on them for aid! I hope my little blog inspires you with confidence in the Hearts of Mary and Joseph so that you might run to them in ever need and trial.
Maria, Maris stella, Ora pro nobis!
Sancta Joseph, lover of poverty, Ora pro nobis!
ITE AD JOSEPH!

Inspiration found in Liturature.
Since birth, practically, I have always been a bookworm. I was that girl who spent entire summers stuck constantly in a book, to the point that I was quite literally addicted. Fortunately, through a very productive Lent, I was able to wean myself off books, and now I am trying to learn to enjoy them in moderation. In any case, this is a very long winded thought to explain that I absolutely do and have always, adored books. I adore them because they are truly the only kind of time travel you will ever need. Opening a book is to put yourself in another world, as another person, in another life. It is to gain all the knowledge and depth of living a million times, and exploring the beauty of God’s creation each time through another lens! I hope on my blog to share my passion for books with you, and to recommend to you the truest and best of books!

traditional femininity
Womanhood is something so absolutely sacred and beautiful, yet so entirely misunderstood by the world, and the vast majority of women. If only women really knew the full depth of (as Alice von Hildebrand put it) the Privilege of being a woman! This is why, in my small way, I am striving to better understand and live out my own femininity and share these experiences with you in the hope that it might edify you in some small way!

saints of the little way
I also hope through this little blog to inspire you by introducing you to many little souls to guide us through this valley of tears! The saints are so good, let us not forget the power of both their example and intercession for us!
